The federal deficits and debt are on frightening paths. Both citizens and Congress are frozen into inaction – have been frozen at least since the beginning of this century. BUT creating and implementing prudent and sustainable fiscal policies, rules, and laws is within easy grasp. America can be moving forward on solid fiscal ground in under 1½ years!

First, Congress delegates to a commission of experts the time-consuming task of creating a detailed and fair-to-all plan, removing the task from the challenges of doing it piece-by-piece in the halls of the House and Senate; excellent work is available now from private organizations. Congress then enacts the plan into law, and America will have a new fiscal beginning.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND REFORM LEGISLATION

H.R. 3289 (IH) – Fiscal Commission Act is ready now; writing a companion Senate version is simple. Using H.R. 3289 and a starting point of today results in the schedule below for the entire project of creating a plan and turning it into legislation.
